My journey began as an environmental engineer at the U.S. Department of Transportation, where my enthusiasm for creating more sustainable practices, places, and cities found a natural home. My analytical work captured insights, but I wanted to understand how the data connected to real people and communities.

Seeking grassroots experience, I left federal service to pursue a career in urban planning, exploring how the built environment can nurture mental health and wellbeing. My journey continued through nonprofit work and, most recently, to federal grants management. Regularly managing a portfolio exceeding $200 million for the U.S. Federal Railroad Administration, I gained a deeper understanding of how infrastructure investments can truly benefit people.

Along the way, I worked with everyone from U.S. railroad companies to neighborhood organizations, federal agencies to consulting firms. I strive for people to feel seen, heard, and empowered in the planning process. That's what makes projects run smoothly and teams focus on impact.
